Tough time ahead for Alaves who find themselves in a relegation battle by being just one point above Elche who held back Real Valladolid to a 2-2 draw on the same night.
Youssef En-Nesyri scored the opening goal for Sevilla in the third minute with an assist by evergreen Jesus Navas. Edgar Mendez answered nine minutes later with an assist by Ximo Navarro. Suso later grabbed the winning goal in the 30th minute with the help of Joan Jordan. Navarro almost made it 3-1 with an own goal in the 83rd minute until VAR called it a foul.
