Leicester City dropped points against Southampton at St Marys. A few minutes later Minamino teed up Tella as well but was saved by Schmeichel. At the 10th minute, Vestergaard was shown the red card reducing Southampton to a 10 men squad for the rest of the match.
City later controlled possession with 85% but could not find ways to improve their score. Southampton’s defense was strong and held back Leicester well, they later restored to long-range shorts to find a lead with Iheanacho and Maddison troubling McCarthy. Southampton later went ahead by scoring at the 60th minute with Ward-Prowse converting a penalty City then fought hard and found a leveler 8 minutes later.
