Steven Gerrard admires Conor Gallagher from afar

Chelsea’s midfielder Conor Gallagher got a lot of attention after his successful loan spell with Crystal Palace this past season. One of the admires on the list is Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard. Gallagher netted eight goals in 34 Premier League matches for Palace and the most admiring part of the spell was his perfect form. He even made a debut for England’s international team as Gareth Southgate also believed in Gallagher.

With four England caps under his belt, the 22-year-old is headed back to Stamford Bridge in the hopes to earn his place in the squad. Thomas Tuchel is keeping a close eye on the player, but their midfield department is already overflowing with talented players like N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Mateo Kovacic making it all the more difficult for Gallagher to make a place for himself.
