Torino came out on top 2-0 in a fiery clash with Lecce

The Granata continued their momentum in the South East of Italy Thursday afternoon, giving coach Ivan Juric some encouraging signals following their difficult 4-2 Derby della Mole loss to Juventus at the end of the previous month. Lazio and Atalanta discovered this season that Lecce is ever-resilient and capable of causing upsets, but they were unable to match the visitors' level of play, leaving them with nothing at the end of a tight 90-minute match.

Following a clever and well-executed free kick, Wilfried Singo gave Torino the lead after just 20 minutes by latching onto an Aleksey Miranchuk floated ball and putting the ball past Wladimiro Falcone, making it 1-0. After a fantastic run by Nemanja Radonjic, Juric's team kept up the pressure, and it only took a few minutes for the visitors to double their lead. This time, Antonio Sanabria, who could not miss from a short distance, was to blame.
