Torino comfortably beat Lecce 2-0

Following a comfortable 2-0 victory over Lecce in Serie A on Friday, Torino's incredible start to 2024 continued with a goal from Duván Zapata, his third in four games. Torino moved up to seventh in the rankings and continued its winning streak at six games.

Five minutes into the second half, a rifled shot from right inside the box gave Raoul Bellanova the lead. The midfielder's goal was his first of the year. With 19 minutes left, Lecce center half Marin Pongracic was substituted, and nine minutes afterward, Zapata scored with a beautiful header from a corner kick.  It was a sobering start for Fabio Liverani, who was appointed Salernitana coach last Monday with the task of keeping the club up. Prior to it, Torino's incredible 2024 start continued with a 2-0 victory over Lecce, thanks to a goal by Duván Zapata, his third in four games.
