Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo strengthens his squad by signing a potential goalkeeper. Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini signed on a season-long loan, with the option to make it a permanent deal. The 26-year-old becomes the club's first summer addition and will compete with Hugo Lloris for the number one spot at the north London club.
Gollini has made significant contributions by far. He was a part of the youth system at Manchester United. Besides, he has also portrayed his excellent play for Aston Villa 20 times in the year 2016/17. He spent four and a half years at Atalanta, appearing 108 times in all competitions, including 10 times in the Champions League in recent seasons. If Gollini impresses during the 2021/22 season, he will be considered as the heir to the number one shirt at Spurs, with Lloris out of contract next year.
