Turkey beats Georgia in a match full of emotion and spectacle

Euro 2024 starts off well for Vincenzo Montella's Turkey: the national team led by the Italian coach beat Georgia 3-1 in the debut match and immediately took command of Group F with Portugal which defated Czech Republic.

To open the score was a splendid right-footed volley from Müldür in the 25th minute, levelled a few minutes later by a strike from Mikautadze, with the complicity of Turkish goalkeeper Günok (32').

Montella's team dominated in terms of possession and in the 65th minute Turkey find the decisive goal, thanks to an invention by Arda Güler: the splendid left-footed shot from the Real Madrid talent born in 2005 is worth the three points, whose result was sealed later on by the hat-trick signed by Aktürkoğlu in the last minute of injury time, just when Georgia was in full force into Turkish area to aim at equalizing the game.
