Udinese draws with Verona 1-1

After Rodrigo Becao's own goal midway through the first half, Lazar Samardzic restored parity for Udinese. Udinese, now in seventh place and holding the Conference League position in the Italian league, closed the gap on sixth-place Roma to eight points. Verona closed the gap to seventeenth-placed Spezia by five points.

Giangiacomo Magnani was extremely fortunate that his handball was measured on the exact edge of the penalty area and not a few inches deeper inside. Lorenzo Montipo made the save to deny Isaac Success from a difficult angle. Montip made a strong save on Tolgay Arslan's low drive following a charged down free kick, but he was unable to stop Lazar Samardzic's snooker shot into the far bottom corner after a Beto lay-off. Destiny Udogie was stopped by a goal-line clearance from Magnani.
