Udinese kept up their winning streak by defeating Hellas Verona 2-1

With goals from Beto and Jaka Bijol, the Friulani defeated Verona on Monday night to earn their sixth straight victory and solidify a third place in the standings behind Napoli and Atalanta. Beto scored in the 70th minute to tie the game for Udinese and their new acquisition after scoring a header in stoppage time to keep the Bianconeri's winning streak alive, Jaka Bijol emerged as the hero. Coach Sottil deserves all the credit for adding the Portuguese, who wasn't in the starting lineup, along with Lazar Samarzdic.

Verona, on the other hand, is currently under more strain than ever. The Scaligeri have only collected five points thus far and are now on a three-game losing skid. Only Sampdoria and Cremonese are ahead of them in the standings, which places them third-to-last.
