UK Government pressing for CL final to be at Wembley

According to the 'New York Times', Boris Johnson's Government will meet with UEFA to consider moving the Champions League final from Istanbul to London.

There were rumours prior to the semi-final second leg between Real Madrid and Chelsea that if Chelsea and City made the final then it could be moved to England.

According to the 'New York Times', everything will be decided in the next 48 hours. The UK Government will meet with UEFA this Monday to study a change of venue.

The coronavirus restrictions in Turkey mean the game could be moved. There are 20 days still until the final and Wembley could step in.

UEFA, despite everything, are planning for the game to go ahead at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul and that is what they will tell Boris Johnson.
