United to challenge refereeing after Bournemouth draw

Manchester United will file an official complaint to the FA’s arbitration committee after several disputed decisions in the 2–2 draw at Bournemouth. The club is particularly angered by the refusal to award a second penalty when Amad Diallo was brought down in the box with United leading 1–0—an incident they believe closely resembled the foul on Evanilson that produced Bournemouth’s penalty and Harry Maguire’s subsequent red card.

United also criticised VAR, arguing that comparable situations have consistently been ruled in favour of opponents throughout the season. Maguire’s dismissal adds to their frustration, as he will now miss the April 13 match against Leeds.

The complaint will further contest the nine minutes of added time, deemed excessive, and highlight earlier officiating errors, including a missed red card in the Brentford fixture. The club views this step as necessary to ensure fair treatment in the Premier League run‑in.
