Valencia’s late comeback sees Villarreal off in Spanish league

Valencia scored two goals late in the match to make a comeback after running behind Villarreal for the most part of the match to ultimately end 2-1 in the Spanish league on Friday. In the 86th-minute first Carlos Soler slotted home a penalty kick while in stoppage time Gonçalo Guedes scored the second goal for Valencia that put them ahead of Villarreal.

Hosts ultimately won at Mestalla Stadium despite an early lead from Villarreal which was awarded after Gerard Moreno put his side ahead in 40th minute by converting a penalty. Valencia is now 11th on the table after the win and this win comes after a rumor is circulating that Malaysian prince is looking to buy the club from Singaporean owner Peter Lim. Villarreal on the other hand extends its winless run to seven matches and stays 7th on the table.
