Villarreal ready to do battle with Bayern for Dominik Livakovic

Villarreal's board has started to work on putting together the squad for next season and have determined that the main objective in the summer transfer market will be to sign a goalkeeper to replace Geronimo Rulli.

According to 'Sport', the favourite for the job is none other than Dominik Livakovic, the 28-year-old goalkeeper who excelled  at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with the Croatian national team.

The goalkeeper plays for Dinamo Zagreb and, thanks to his good performances at the World Cup, his name began to appear on the radar of the most important clubs in Europe, such as Bayern Munich.

The German giants, like Villarreal, are looking for a goalkeeper after Manuel Neuer's injury and would also be willing to make an effort to sign Livakovic. Teams in the big leagues know that the Croatian's transfer will be quite affordable.
