Villarreal ties with Celta Vigo to go fourth in Spain

Villarreal had dominated their previous four matches across all competitions coming into the clash with Celta Vigo. After holding on against Celta Vigo to draw 1-1, this game gave them the point they needed to move into fourth place in the Spanish league.

In the 15th minute, Samuel Chukwueze assisted Gerard Moreno in netting the game's first goal. However, shortly before the start of the second half, Yeremi Pino took Chukwueze's position. Eventually,  Jorgen Strand Larsen's goal in the 68th minute brought Celta Vigo back into the game.

With the draw, Villarreal, who previously defeated Real Madrid 2-1, advanced higher in the Champions League rankings. Celta climbed to 15th place, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
