In the five-goal thriller, West Ham continued their dominating run to end Jurgen Klopp’s unbeaten run in Premier League by winning 3-2. Gaining the three points West Ham also leapfrogged Liverpool into the third spot on the table. West Ham was off to one of the best starts to a match when Pablo Fornals’s delivery forced Alisson to drive the goal into his own net at 4th minute giving them a leg up.
Trent Alexander-Arnold cut the lead with a free-kick in the 41st minute as both the teams ended the first half on a 1-1 draw. West Ham then pulled their socks in the second half with Fornals and Kurt Zouma drilling home one goal each and Liverpool could only answer once with Origi’s late shot but it was not enough for Jurgen Klopp’s men to keep their unbeaten start streak alive.
