Jordan Walsh, a former Arkansas Razorback, talked to the media for the first time as a professional just four days after the Boston Celtics picked him with the 38th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draught. At a Celtics community gathering on Monday, Boston's new No. 27 (shoutout to Daniel Theis) expressed his excitement to start realising his NBA goal after getting selected by such a prominent team as the Celtics.
The 19-year-old spoke candidly on what it means to him to be selected by a team with such a distinguished past. Walsh said, "It's amazing to be their only pick in the draught," as reported by Jared Weiss of The Athletic. "It means a lot that they trust me with that. And it says a lot considering that I'm joining a company that is obsessed with success, just as they are.
