Malik Beasley erupted for a career-high 36 points as the Detroit Pistons built a massive 34-point lead and secured a 125-112 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. Tobias Harris contributed 22 points and nine rebounds, while Ausar Thompson added 14 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Despite foul trouble, Jalen Duren impressed with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists. The Pistons dominated early, leading 78-49 at halftime.
Tyrese Maxey paced Philadelphia with 27 points and seven assists, ending his streak of 16 consecutive games with at least 28 points. Joel Embiid, playing just his second game since January 4, scored 23 points, 20 of which came in the second half. The 76ers cut the deficit to 11 in the final minutes, but Beasley’s clutch three-pointers sealed the win. Philadelphia, now 7-4 when Embiid, Maxey, and Paul George play together, couldn’t complete the comeback.
