Los Angeles Lakers had just returned from a road trip with a win to power them through but Boston Celtics were looking at a perfect road trip and overwhelmed the host to win by 121-113 over the Lakers. Jaylen Brown chipped in 40 points with 9 rebounds, shooting 17 of 20 from the field and the Celtics were 3-0 on the road. Boston did not train behind even once to grab their fifth straight win with Marcus Smart and Payton Pritchard each scoring 15 points for the team.
Los Angeles center Marc Gasol replaced Andre Drummond on the team and finished with 4/6 on 3 points and had 18 points and Talen Horton-Tucker had one more than him. The Lakers though might improve form with Anthony Davis getting the all-clear from doctors for full-contact practices and would be returning soon after missing 28 matches.
