Boston Celtics waived two-way forward Miles Norris

The Boston Celtics waived two-way forward Miles Norris, clearing up roster questions after last week’s moves. Norris, 25, signed with Boston last March and appeared in three games last season, averaging 2.3 points and 3.0 rebounds. Known for his size and shooting, he also averaged 9.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in four Summer League games. The move follows Boston trading Georges Niang and two second-round picks to the Jazz for two-way wing RJ Luis, and signing Chris Boucher to a one-year deal.

With rookie guard Max Shulga and Luis already on two-way contracts, plus Norris, Boston had all three two-way slots filled. Waiving Norris opens a spot, potentially for big man Amari Williams, the 46th pick in the 2025 draft, who remains unsigned. The Celtics are now better positioned to address their remaining two-way roster needs before the season begins.
