Cam Thomas is one of several players facing a tepid market

Cam Thomas, a guard for the Brooklyn Nets, has stated that he believes he is among the best young guards in the NBA. The 23-year-old wants to be compensated well, but the Nets haven't made him a compelling offer in his limited free agency. NBA insider Jake Fischer claims that no other team has expressed interest in making a sign-and-trade offer for Thomas. Among the prominent restricted free agents without a contract are Thomas, Kuminga, Giddey, and Quentin Grimes.

Opposing teams looking to sign free agents are restricted to the $14.1 million non-taxpayer mid-level exception since the Nets are the only team in the NBA with cap room. Nonetheless, a number of teams have indicated interest in signing Giddey and Kuminga in a sign-and-trade. Rival front offices have not shown as much interest in Thomas.
