The Boston Celtics might use additional frontcourt depth now that Grant Williams is gone. It may be time for them to consider Bismack Biyombo for the final roster space they have available. In the 2011 NBA Draft, Biyombo was selected as the seventh overall pick. He has since played for the Charlotte Hornets, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, and Suns. Biyombo averaged 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game while playing in 61 games with the Suns in the 2022–23 season while shooting 57.8% from the floor.
The Celtics would benefit from Biyombo's shot-blocking presence. He may or may not want to play behind the other three big men on the roster, though. It's strange that the Phoenix Suns didn't re-sign him. Despite his two strong seasons with them, they let him go when they most needed depth. If Biyombo still has adequate athleticism, playing behind Williams at center wouldn't be an awful idea.
