Charlotte Hornets defeated San Antonio 120-110

LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets scored 28 points, dished out 10 assists, and pulled down a season-high 12 rebounds on Wednesday night as Charlotte defeated San Antonio 120-110 to stop the Spurs' 14-game losing run and send them into the NBA All-Star break. Ball became the second-youngest NBA player to accomplish 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, and 1,000 assists during his playing career.

Ball achieved his eighth triple-double overall and third of the year. PJ Washington's 22 points and 10 rebounds, along with freshman Mark Williams' 12 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks, helped Charlotte win its second straight game. Five of the Hornets' 12 blocks were recorded by backup centre Nick Richards. The Hornets appear to have two young, competent shot blockers in Williams and Richards.
