Atlanta Hawks bulldozed through Chicago Bulls’ defense on the opening night to register a double-digit lead with a 124-104 win. A 20-point lead seems a lot but the game wasn’t that close, in third-quarter they enjoyed a 40-point lead at 108-68. Bulls looked strong on paper with a new coach Billy Donovan, the top-5 pick involved Patrick Williams, Coby White, Wendell Carter, and Lauri Markkanen.
Despite that all fans had to settle for disappointment with a botched defensive attempt by the Bulls. They need to make improvements and fast their Relative Defensive Rating was 9 with the five starters at negative rating worst of all was Markkanen at 34. Next on 26th, they face Indiana Pacers, and let's see whether they addressed the concern or it would be a season-long struggle for the Bulls.
