As Clippers close in on the playoff they have dismissed Josh Primo today while also signing Kai Jones to a multi-year contract. Jones will fill their last roster slot heading into the playoffs, and he has not participated in an NBA game for another club this season. Unfortunately, Jones will have less time to train with the squad and has only appeared in 67 NBA games, with very less minutes to account for. It is quite doubtful that he will be called upon to do anything during the playoffs other than just to fill the time.
Primo's odd employment with the Clippers comes to an end. Primo was a contentious signing but the Clippers signed him to a full contract rather than a two-way in November. Primo played just 10 minutes in the NBA this season, and his G-League stats were decent but unremarkable.
