Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 117-111

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 117-111 on Thursday night thanks to a late 16-0 run led by Jaden Hardy, who scored a season-high 25 points off the bench, and P.J. Washington, who finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds.

The Mavericks, who are still missing All-Star guards Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, scored season highs with 21 points and 16 rebounds from Dereck Lively II. After a five-game losing run that lasted the whole season, Dallas had won two in a row. The Blazers, who split a road back-to-back and are 2-3 on their trip, were led by Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe, each of whom scored 22 points. Scoot Henderson made all 12 of his free throws and scored 20 points off the bench. With 4:33 remaining, Portland had a 109-99 lead, but they missed their next six field goals and had two turnovers.
