Washington wants confirmation that Davis can stay healthy and deliver elite production, while the 33-year-old aims to ensure the team is competitive and its system suits his strengths. The Wizards, who have lost at least 64 games in three straight seasons, are banking on Davis and Trae Young—recently extended for $212 million—to accelerate their rebuild.
