Detroit Pistons get a new guard Wayne Ellington

Former North Carolina star Wayne Ellington moves to Detroit Pistons after a one-year deal worth $2.6 million deal and Ellington was with New York Knicks and played over 36 games last seasons for them where he averaged 5.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists as well as 35.1 percent shooting from the field and 35.0 percent from the three-point arc.

Throughout his career he has played for Minnesota Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons, and the Knicks. And overall, in his career, he averaged 8.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists, and shooting 40.8 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from the three-point arc. His career stats also showcases him being the No. 9 overall prospects and ranked as No. 1 shooting guard of the country and No. 1 player in Pennsylvania in 2006.
