The great guard has hinted at potential opponents should the Cleveland Cavaliers advance to the NBA Finals in 2025. Donovan Mitchell will do all in his power to support the team in that endeavor. Mitchell was especially pleased with the Thunder's offseason trade of Josh Giddey to the Chicago Bulls for Alex Caruso. The youthful core lead by Alexander and Chet Holmgren will get experience and defensive strength from the 30-year-old Caruso.
In order to guarantee that their core would remain intact for the foreseeable future, the Cavaliers also made a number of noteworthy summer additions. A long-term contract extension that had been speculated about and uncertain for some time was ultimately approved by Mitchell. Big guys Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen both consented to personal extensions, and when they pair up with Darius Garland, the Cavaliers should be able to compete with nearly any NBA club.
