Edgecombe unfazed by stars and welcomes Brown and LeBron

VJ Edgecombe isn’t worried about sharing the floor with Jaylen Brown and LeBron James. While some around the NBA wonder whether the influx of star power in Philadelphia could slow his development, the sophomore guard told the Philadelphia Inquirer he sees only upside. Edgecombe stressed that winning remains his priority, adding that his aggressiveness and identity won’t change regardless of shot distribution.

His confidence follows a standout rookie season: 16 points per game, a third‑place finish in the Rookie of the Year race and growing chemistry with Tyrese Maxey. The Sixers’ summer overhaul, however, reshaped the roster and his role. Edgecombe views the shift as a chance to learn from elite veterans, calling the opportunity a blessing and praising both Brown and James for their humility.
