Joel Embiid and Paul George, two Philadelphia 76ers standouts, stated that there is no set timetable for when they will return to play while they recover from knee surgery. Last season, Embiid, 31, played a career-low 19 games because of a foot strain and left knee injury. He ended a run of seven consecutive All-Star selections in February after averaging 23.8 points (his lowest since 2019–20) and 8.2 rebounds (his lowest since his rookie season in 2016–17).
George, 35, played 41 games in the first year of his four-year, $212 million contract he signed with the Sixers last offseason. He averaged 16.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game before his season ended in March due to left knee and left adductor injuries which required injections.
