Memphis Grizzlies eliminated the San Antonio Spurs in the first Western Conference play-in match on Wednesday by 100-96. Dillon Brooks scored a total of 24 points, out of which 8 points were scored in the fourth quarter and that helped Grizzlies to stay ahead. For Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas scored his season-high, that is, 23 rebounds and 23 points, Ja Morant contributed to the win 20 points and 6 assists, and Jaren Jackson Jr. added 10 points.
This was Spurs' fifth straight defeat. DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay, both scored 20 points each. Dejounte Murray had his 5th triple-double with 11 assists, 13 rebounds, 10 points. Keldon Johnson and Jacob Poeltl scored 11 and 10 points respectively. The Grizzlies will now play against the Lakers for the No. 7 seed.
