Speaking to French YouTuber Just Riadh, the forward highlighted the immense long-term financial benefits of the league. Yabusele noted that three years of service guarantees a lifetime pension, but his primary motivation lies in securing lifetime medical insurance for his family, a perk unlocked after ten seasons. Consequently, he aims to play five more years to reach that crucial threshold.

Although he enjoyed a strong campaign in Philadelphia, Yabusele is currently struggling to find consistent minutes with the New York Knicks. So far this season, his impact has been limited, averaging just 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while actively chasing his long-term security.
