Hornets start slow, lose to Dallas Mavericks

Both the teams were coming in with great winning streaks, four matches for Charlotte and three matches for Dallas but the loss to Mavs was not in the books for Hornets. The loss for Hornets was their own undoing rather than an exemplary performance by Dallas they just took advantage of the Hornets slow start, they lost the first quarter with 32-16 and could not recover.

Luka Dončić scored double-double, with 34 points and 13 rebounds for Dallas, he would have made triple-double as well but fell short of one assist. Hornets desperately need to upgrade in the paint, Bismack Biyombo added just 5 points and 9 rebounds in 24 minutes of playtime, they either need Cody Zeller back or need to trade for another center. Gordon Hayward abandoned the game as well in the third quarter adding just 16 points and suffered a nasty hip strain, PJ Washington added in 16 as well.
