Houston Rockets defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-108

The Houston Rockets played the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Toyota Centre on Wednesday night in an attempt to recover from their defeat to the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Cleveland had the best NBA record at 36-6 going into the evening and was on a two-game winning run. Houston, on the other hand, remained unfazed and attacked the rim whenever it felt like it. The Rockets responded to the Cavaliers' early attempts with fast baskets during the break.

Moving forward With six points in the opening seven minutes of play, Amen Thompson got off to a fast start. Together with Thompson, Cam Whitmore scored 10 points in the first quarter to help Houston close the first quarter up 39–32. Cleveland kept it close in the second, slowing down the Rockets' offense but still continued to struggle to score on its own end.
