Knicks associated with Ryan Arcidiacono and Taj Gibson

The New York Knicks have a roster of 21, which is the maximum permitted by league regulations, for training camp. The Knicks may yet sign a new player. They have around $6.6 million to spend and 14 players on normal contracts. Thibodeau has long had a preference for Gibson. In 49 games with the Washington Wizards, the 38-year-old, who played for the Knicks from 2019 to 22, averaged 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 52% from the floor. Gibson also participated in Thibodeau's Minnesota Timberwolves team.

Before being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the transaction that brought Hart to New York, Arcidiacono spent a portion of two seasons with the Knicks. The Knicks and the 29-year-old point guard are therefore already acquainted.
