Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has decided to opt into player option worth $37 million USD for the upcoming 2022-2023 NBA season. Irving would be completing his four years with the team. The 30-year-old player has ended all the speculations regarding his future move by stating he would not be part of the free agency market this season but instead would be part of the Brooklyn Nets squad and complete the deal with them by opting in.
As per multiple reports, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Clippers wanted to add the player this season and were seeking out a sign-and-trade but would now have to wait for next season before they can swoop in and make a move on the player.
