Lakers trading for one star

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers advanced to the NBA playoffs' first round, where they will face the reigning champion Denver Nuggets, after the Lakers recently defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in the Play-In Tournament.

With the Lakers salvaging their season, the legendary club has an opportunity to shock Nikola Jokic's squad in the opening round, go deep into the postseason, or maybe capture an NBA record 18 titles. The Lakers' preseason will be fascinating in Los Angeles, though, if they falter in the first round, which is predicted given the squad they'll play beginning this weekend in Denver. You never know what the club will do. The organization might make a blockbuster deal to get James to stay, with Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks being the most probable target. Alternatively, James could depart the team in NBA free agency.
