Gary Trent Jr. joined the Milwaukee Bucks' backcourt after leaving the Toronto Raptors. The 6-foot-5 guard's deal was confirmed by the Bucks on Saturday. Trent played 71 games with the Raptors last season, averaging 13.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. He made 39.3% of his 3-pointers and 42.6% of his field goals. Following the All-Star break, his game got even better, Trent averaged 19.1 points in 20 games. Over the course of his career, his numbers have been 14.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on average while playing for the Raptors (2021–24) and Portland Trail Blazers (2018–21). Trent is now back again with Damian Lillard, his former teammate from the Trail Blazers.
Trent is the newest acquisition to the Bucks, who have also signed guard Delon Wright (6-5) and big Taurean Prince (6-6). Wright played for the Miami Heat and Washington Wizards in the previous season, while Prince was with the Los Angeles Lakers.
