Lakers want to include their future firsts in the Kyrie Irving trade

The Lakers are now interested in including both of their 2027 and 2029 drafts in a deal for guard Kyrie Irving. Well, after the ultimatum given by Kevin Durant to the owner of the Nets, Joe Tsai, it seems like the Lakers consider adding Irving to their squad. The Lakers have shown their interest in trading around Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook.

Initially, during the start of the offseason, the Nets didn’t want to take back Russell Westbrook in an Irving deal. However, it is still not too clear if things will change after the Durant deal or if they will be the same. The new interest of the Lakers to include both their first-round draft choices and offload Westbrook seems to be the outcome of Kevin Durant’s ultimatum and James trying to get his friend Kyrie back.
