Miami Heat’s 111-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets

The Miami Heat players saw an early lead go, but they reignited a smouldering shooting stroke in the fourth quarter to defeat the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, tying the series at one game each on Sunday in Denver. The Heat won 111-108 at Ball Arena after trailing by as many as 15 points. The Heat converted 17 of their 35 3-point tries. Gabe Vincent, the point guard, scored a team-high 23 points. Bam Adebayo, a centre, and forward Jimmy Butler each scored 21 points.

Forward Duncan Robinson led the late Heat comeback with all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter. The centre for the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic, finished with a game-high 41 points and 11 rebounds, but he also had five turnovers and only four assists. Despite shooting 52% from the field and 39.3% (11 of 28) from 3-point range, the Nuggets lost.
