The Spartan’s roster in 2022-23 has faced a blow as Michigan State guard Max Christie’s career as a Spartan is over. He will hire an agent and stay in the 2022 NBA Draft. Head coach Tom Izzo was always praising his defensive abilities where he would say that Christie was better at defending. His staff nor he were expecting this at the time of his recruitment.
After the news was officially out, Izzo said that after Christie took some time in the last few months to focus on evaluation and preparation, he and his family have decided that he will be signing with an agent and remaining in 2022 NBA Draft. He also added that this was a lifelong dream for Max and that he is excited for him as he takes the next step and continues the process and journey to becoming an NBA player.
