This season, the Cleveland Cavaliers haven't faced much hardship, but when they have, they've handled it well. They were missing Evan Mobley and Isaac Okoro going into Saturday's game, and they had just suffered their biggest defeat of the season at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Under the leadership of Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, the Cavaliers successfully met the challenge and defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-117. Throughout the night, the guards alternated in carrying the Cavaliers. After having a terrible game versus OKC, Mitchell set the tone early. He scored 10 points in the first quarter and 12 in the second to ensure it wouldn't happen again. Garland ended with six assists and 29 points on 8-19 shooting. With seven assists, Mitchell scored 26 points on 12-27 shooting.
