Patrick Beverley of the Lakers is suspended by the NBA after a fight with Deandre Ayton. Austin Reaves, who was already on the ground after receiving a blow to the face from Devin Booker, was taunted, according to Beverley, who stands by his shove. Ultimately, Bookers' shot at Reaves was deemed to be a flagrant foul.
Later, after Beverley misbehaved on the court, Reaves immediately stepped up to support him. The NBA has now decided to sentence Beverley to a three-game suspension upon review. Till November 30, when the Lakers visit the Portland Trail Blazers, Beverley will be sidelined. Beverley is now shooting just 26.6% from the field overall and 23.8% from outside the arc this season. He provides the Lakers with much-needed defensive leadership on the court.
