Oklahoma City Thunder: Former KU forward Collison’s promotion

OKC Thunder has a promotion announcement to make, as the former Kansas men’s basketball power forward Nick Collison step up to the special assistant to executive vice president and general manager Sam Presti. After his retirement on March 21, 2019, the OKC jersey No. 4 has earned his recognition for serving 14 years in the team and is the only player to have his jersey retired in the club’s history. 

Recent Thunder select former Bishop Miege forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl was signed with a four-year contract worth $8 million as 32nd overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft trading No. 34 and 36 pick to the New York Knicks. Former KU guard Jacque Vaughn, the assistant coach also seems to stick with the Nets further in the near future remain a leading head coach candidate in the NBA.
