Payton May Say Goodbye To The Celtics

The Boston Celtics have a little more uncertainty entering training camp this season than they did last July 1, when free agency opened. Malcolm Brogdon, Aaron Nesmith, forward Malik Fitts, guard Nik Stauskas, and guard Nik Stauskas are all on the team's roster. Additionally, the team acquired Danilo Galline that year for the purpose of adding two significant win-now players to the Eastern Conference finals roster, and the 2023 first-round draft choice. Even without a significant means of adding a free agent, Gallinari was included in the team's only offer: the taxpayer's MLE. The Italian forward is unlikely to return to Boston in 2022-23, because his torn ACL is on the same leg he tore his ACL on in 2016. In light of Robert Williams' arthroscopic knee surgery, Gallinacalcification may be even more necessary. 

However, a probable trade proposal has recently swung by an anonymous league executive that would both turn that scenario come to conclusion and end Payton Pritchard’s time with the Boston Celtics.
