Pelicans take down Hornets for an important win

Pelicans despite being short-handed, took down Hornets 112-110 on Sunday. New Orleans came back from behind with the help of Eric Bledsoe, who scored 24 points and 11 assists, Jaxson Hayes who added in 18 points for Pelicans. They are now 1 1/2 games of the San Antonio Spurs for the 10th spot on the table and Spurs enjoy a one-game advantage over Pelicans.

In the crucial win for Pelicans, James Johnson also scored 17 points and Willy Hernangomez added 16 rebounds during the match to seal their fourth win off last six matches. And together they overcame Terry Rozier’s career-high 43 points and Hornets could not grab the last spot in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament. Rozier shot 16-of-26 but could not overcome a depleted Pelicans.
