Suns take a commanding lead over Nuggets by winning three games straight for a 3-0 lead with Devin Booker scoring 28 points and Chris Paul adding 27 points and 8 assists in the 116-102 win over Denver. Suns can end the best-of-seven series on Sunday itself. For Suns, Deandre Ayton scored 10 points and 15 rebounds, Jae Crowder chipped in with 14 and Mikal Bridges had 11 as well. Suns now just need one more win to advance to the NBA semi-finals for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
Though MVP Nikola Jokic would put up a fight once again after his efforts of 32 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists for the Nuggets didn’t help matters but solid support by Monte Morris, who scored 21, Michael Porter, who added 15 and Will Barton also scored 14 in the loss. Denver trailed behind for the most part of the match but could not force a win.
