Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Reggie Jackson intends to join with the Denver Nuggets when he completes his buyout from the Charlotte Hornets. The Los Angeles Clippers dealt the seasoned guard ahead of Thursday's trade deadline in exchange for experienced big man and former Denver Nugget Mason Plumlee. As a 2019 buyout signing, Jackson, who previously played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Detroit Pistons, landed in Los Angeles.
Due to Hyland's unpredictable playing style, Denver focused the majority of its effort in the days preceding the deadline on trying to relocate him. He can shoot a team out of a playoff game or score 20 points in a quarter if he wants to. The Nuggets were looking for a slightly more reliable backup point guard, and in Jackson, they believe they have got him.
