Los Angeles Clippers player Nicolas Batum has reportedly refused to sign a $3.3 million player option but instead is joining the free agency instead to try his luck this season. Phoenix Suns who have been keeping tabs on the forward have come out of the shadows and expressed an interest in signing the player.
But the Clippers are determined to have Batum back in the squad and would offer him a two-year deal instead which the 14-year veteran might be more interested in signing. While Suns would have to face competition from Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, and Utah Jazz for a deal with Batum who has averaged 8.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and one steal in 2022.
