The Utah Jazz lost a tight game to the Indiana Pacers of the Eastern Conference on Monday night, even though they had the lead for the duration of the contest. Despite a lot of impressive efforts from its young players, the Jazz lost 112-111 and were unable to win.
Utah had a double-digit lead as late as the fourth quarter, but the Jazz had been without a score for over four minutes until Jordan Clarkson's jumper eventually fell with six minutes left. The damage was done, but John Collins would do his hardest to pull the squad back into it. Jordan Clarkson lost possession of the ball near half-court with only one minute remaining, and he was unable to stop Tyrese Haliburton's transition 3-point attempt, which gave the Pacers a two-point advantage. With just 17 seconds remaining, star Lauri Markkanen had a chance to tie the game at the line, but he went 0-for-2 and purposefully missed the second.
